SabitaUsagi, yep, that was me I'm also a smartphone user. I have a simple setup with a headset I bought on AliExpress, but still I honestly think I get a reasonable quality. An Oculus or other dedicated headsets are too expensive where I live, and DeoVR app is terrible on Android, not to mention it was discontinued.

jakeevans, I didn't know you could do that with ffmpeg. I wonder if it would process faster. I find AME too slow. Perhaps I will do some tests with ffmpeg in the future.

Seriously this came out awesome though.
I definitely home to see more of these conversions and maybe more people doing them. SLR basically hates smartphone users. Though thats not why I think they do 200˚ fisheye, they do do that to promote people using their VR player app over others.
But like they film some great looking scenes with good talent, But since it's fisheye and in 200˚ i can never watch any of it.
I'd love to figure out how to do this, but i doubt my CPU could handle it.
